Rest Areas Japan helps drivers find the next place to stop on Japan’s roads. It lists every expressway service area (SA) and parking area (PA) by route and direction of travel, and the Michi-no-Eki roadside stations with the expressway exit nearest to each. For every stop it shows the facilities, EV chargers, the Japanese name for your sat-nav and a Navigate button that opens directions in your map app.

The directory is built from open data: OpenStreetMap, the free map made by volunteers; the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s list of registered Michi-no-Eki; Wikidata; and e-Mobility Power’s list of charging spots. It is refreshed every week. See Data sources & licences.

We are not a government, expressway company or operator website, and we are not affiliated with any of them. Information may change between updates, so always check signs on site. If something is wrong or out of date, please let us know.
